Investor's Business Daily - Investors' confidence in the U.S. economy fell for a 3rd straight month, to its lowest since Sept. '06. The UBS/Gallup Index of Investor Optimism fell to 74 in April from 78 in March and 105 in Jan. Nearly three-quarters of investors surveyed believed energy prices were hurting the current investment climate, up from 63% in March and 58% in Feb. That's the most concern about energy since Aug. '06. Investors were also concerned about continued weakness in the housing market.
