Economy - Friday (Investor's Business Daily)

Investor's Business Daily - The Univ. of Mich.'s sentiment index fell to 87.1 vs. 88.4 in March as rising gasoline prices took their toll. It's the third straight down month, but it's better than the early-April reading of 85.3, thanks to optimism spurred by the recent stock market rally. The index of current conditions rose to 104.6 from 103.5 in March. The expectations index fell to an 8-month low of 75.9 from 78.7. Expectations for future inflation were higher as well.
